There are two types of audio gears. One is the favorite of audiophiles. Another is closer to the casual listeners. Brands like Anker, Tozo, and JLab focused on casual listeners.
Casual listeners don't care much about sound quality, detailing of sound, and its technical details. They want features that will be useful in their routine. They care about price. They want a combination of features and Budget-friendly audio gear.
For these people Tozo is a lovely brand name. Tozo is a good brand which has been making great earbuds and headphones for common people. If you are new to our website, you might have missed our reviews on different Tozo buds like T6, T10 or our latest review of Tozo T12.
Today we are going to review another true wireless earbud from Tozo. Let's go for the Tozo t9 review. We will also compare these with their siblings.

- Those who want all the features at an affordable price
- If you want crystal clear call quality
Whatβs in the box?
- T9 earbuds
- 2 pairs of Ear tips
- Charging Case
- USB C charging cable
Bottom Line:
If you want an all-around performer for less than $40, the Tozo t9 is waiting. For the fifth time, I am reviewing Tozo buds, and I can surely tell you that Tozo is a brand of people. They make people's life easy. They never focus on making great products, but they make audio gears to fulfill the needs at an affordable price.
Whether it be Tozo t9 or t10 or tozo NC2, you get all the features at a cheaper price. A most importantly Cheaper price doesn't mean a compromise in quality.
In tozo, the t9 also gets decent sound, decent call quality, ultimate comfort, and fit and durability. What can you expect more when you get all these pros under $40? I don't say it has zero cons. Average battery and not-so-punchy bass are some cons but they couldn't overpower the pros.
How is the Design and Build Quality of Tozo t9?
The design and shape of Tozo t9 reminded me of another tozo pair Tozo NC2. They both have Stem designs. Each of the buds has two mics on them. Talk mic at the bottom of the stem.
And the ENC mic is on the upper side where your ears receive external noise. T9 is lightweight and comfortable. It comes with two additional pairs of Silicone ear tips. You don't get many color options with t9. You can choose between glossy black or glossy white. Honestly, they don't look like premium earbuds. They Cost $30 and they look what you paid for them.
I tested them with all three ear tips and medium size ear tips were a nice fit for me. You may feel good with small or large. So Fit shouldn't be an issue for most people. This Silicone gel gives decent comfort even for long listening sessions.
All the Tozo buds we reviewed are either waterproof or water-resistant. Tozo t9 also isn't an exception. These are IPX7 rated which means they can survive under 1m of water for 30 minutes. Of course, they are sweat resistant and suitable for workouts.
Let's have a look at operating and touch controls of Tozo T9
The charging case isn't IP rated. You can't keep the wet buds in. charging case is lightweight and compact Though not as compact as JLab charging cases. The charging case has magnetic clasps shut which feel nice when I shut them or open them.
The package comes with USB C charging cable. On the charging case, three LED light shows the charging status of the case. Tozo t9 charging case has a wireless charging bottom but the package didn't contain a charging pad. You need to purchase them separately. I would rate 8.5 out of 10 tozo t9 for the design and build.
How is the Sound Performance of Tozo t9?
Makers never claimed that t9 is for audiophiles. But it sounds more than what I expected. With the 8 mm driver, they could maintain the sound quality that pleased my ears as an average listener.
I feel Tozo t9 has balanced highs and lows. Vocals are crystal clear, and instrument separation is also impressive. The Bass isn't punchy but soothing. If you are a crazy bass lover, You have another option. But if you ask me, Bass isn't bad. They aren't just powerful. It has all the flavors to make your listening experience joyful. Just make sure you got the right ear tips. 8.5 out of 10 for the sound quality.
Call Quality
I wasn't expecting great call quality at this price, but t9 was surprisingly good in this department. It has ENC technology. Each of the buds with the two microphones does the job well.
One upper mic cancels out background noise and another microphone at the bottom of the stem for talk. Though they couldn't cancel heavy noise, they eliminate mild to moderate noise well.
Don't expect to cancel them plane's engine noise. 9 out of 10 for the call quality. Please keep in mind that this rating has given considering the price tag.
How is the Connectivity of Tozo t9?
Connectivity was never an issue with any tozo buds. Tozo t9 isn't different from other tozo buds we tested. Bluetooth 5.3 is an advanced Bluetooth version and it isn't only does great on paper but also in reality t9 stands firm and connected up to 35 feet. Even when I went to that side of the wall it stayed connected. After 40 feet, it starts disconnecting which is obvious.
How is the Charging and Battery performance of Tozo t9?
Tozo Claimed that t9 gives 9 hours of battery life at 60% volume. I think this is the area where tozo t9 didn't impress me much. I don't say it's bad but not great either. I found 6.5 to 7 hours of battery life on a single charge which is ok.
The battery life of almost all TWS isn't great due to their size. quick charging feature is a relief. You get 90 minutes of playtime with 10 minutes charge. It has wired and wireless charging features.
You need to purchase a charging pad separately. Wireless charging takes 2 hours and a few minutes for full charging. 8 out of 10 for battery performance.
Let's see the difference between different models of Tozo.
Tozo t9 Vs t10
When We compare both of these tozo true wireless earbuds, we found that the t9 is compact and comparatively smaller, hence easy to carry. Bluetooth 5.3 of tozo t10 surely gives better connectivity and fast pairing but that's not over.
Tozo t10 has a better IP rating. It's IPX8-rated tws which is comparatively better than t9. t10 also has better battery life and they are louder than t9. But the call quality of tozo t10 is undoubtedly better than t10. look wise t9 easily beat t10. The same is true for tozo t6.
They have better noise isolation than t9. Better battery life and sound, but if you are thinking a tozo buds for call quality, watching movies or Youtube videos, and playing games, the Tozo t9 beats its siblings. My mind started comparing tozo t9 with tozo NC2. They also have the noise cancellation but they are slightly better than t9 in noise cancellation.
