Outdoor Speakers must have some qualities. It must be strong, durable, and portable. It should be easy to use. The sound must be loud enough. It should have a battery that will not die early. Bose Soundlink Micro will be a perfect Outdoor speaker if Bose pays attention in certain areas.

First, let's throw light on some positives. Supreme Build quality is the main feature of Bose Soundlink. It's a real waterproof BT speaker which is IPX7 certified. Strong exterior that protects Speakers delicate part.

Not so loud but a decent sound which is another good part of it. Except for not so good battery performance, everything works really well. Bose said it gives 6 hours battery playtime but it hardly stands up to 4-4.5 hours. Outdoor speakers must have a good battery life otherwise it badly impacts the overall performance of the speaker. Overall It's a good deal.

How is the Design and Build Quality of SoundLink Micro?

Do you love biking? Are you passionate about hiking and planning for a long walk along with buddies and the energetic music? Then Bose SoundLink Micro is the perfect outdoor speaker to heightened your joy. Outdoor Speakers Should be highly durable with sturdy construction. It must stand in all weather conditions. When you go for hiking can you predict anything about the weather conditions? of course not.

Sometimes you may have to face heavy rain that's why your outdoor speaker should be waterproof. Bose SoundLink Micro is highly waterproof that can stand with heavy rain. It's IPX7 rated. Bose uses Silicone material as a seal that protects the inner area of the Speaker. Many Speakers claim that they are waterproof but they can't go a long way with a little bit of rain or water splashes but Bose SoundLink Micro is specially designed to stand up with the water from inside out. It can be submerged up to 1 meter of water. Don't worry at all if it falls into your swimming pool. Just take it out and hit the play button.

I must say it's a true outdoor speaker because Bose has crafted and designed SoundLink Micro especially for outdoor activities like hiking, biking, or hanging out outside of the house. It has a solid tear-resistant strap with which you can simply strap it to your bike, backpack, or cooler. The strap is so strong and reliable that it will hold tight once you tag it. Not for the first time but also for the 100th time of tagging SoundLink Micro will not fall out because the strap is made up of tear-resistant material.

SoundLink Micro is so compact in design and shape that any average size hands can hold it comfortably. But what if unfortunately it fell down from your hand or suppose you haven't strapped it properly to your bike or bicycle and it fell down on a road? Don't worry at all. As I already said, Bose has designed it for rough conditions.

Bose uses Silicone rubber for SoundLink Micro’s exterior that can handle dents, scratches, and cracks. It really looks durable and sturdy though it is lightweight and compact. If you lost your old speaker while hiking or Biking due to an accident then SoundLink Micro is a great outdoor speaker that can be the good choice if you are looking for a new one.

How is the Sound Performance of SoundLink Micro ?

One of the most important parts of any speaker is its Transducer. They convert electrical energy into sound. That's why Transducers must have good quality. Bose uses a custom-designed transducer in SoundLink Micro that reproduces sound that’s better than any speaker of same size. Passive radiators in SoundLink Micro produce more powerful sound and resonance.

Do you want to play the same track in the kitchen that is already playing in your bedroom's Bose speaker? It's quite possible with Bose SimpleSync technology. SimpleSync technology allows you to sync two or more Bose Home Speakers.

The special stereo mode gives you dynamic surround sound experience. Though Bass is good but not enough for some bass lovers as some people said. But I think it's a small size speaker that gives enough bass and loudness if you consider it's size.

How is the Connectivity of SoundLink Micro ?

Connecting your Bose soundlink Micro with your Bluetooth device is quite easy with VOICE PROMPTS. Voice Prompts guide you through the Bluetooth connection so that you can customize voice prompts using the buttons on your speaker. Bose Connect app is another simple way to manage voice prompts. Soundlink Micro remembers 8 recently connected devices.

But you can not expect great connectivity of Soundlink Micro with your device if it's more than 20 ft away Though they claimed it works fine upto 30 ft of distance. It's an outdoor speaker so normally you will not put your device away from the speaker but connectivity issues can happen when you are at home. Still it's fine to connect with the distance of 15-20 ft.

How is the Charging and Battery performance of SoundLink Micro ?

Though bose claimed that SoundLink Micro gives more than 6 hours of playtime in a full single charge but the real story is a little bit different. It hardly gives more than 4 hours of playtime after some months of use. Though the battery performance depends on various factors like volume level, track, and the kind of music we are playing, it's not satisfying that bose has so average battery life. It takes time to charge but drains at a faster rate after some months of use. It means you need to charge it more and that's a little bit disappointing.

Is SoundLink Micro user friendly?

Yes it is user friendly and works fine when you want to use SIRI and google assistant. Don't worry if your phone is away from you. Just press and hold the multi-function button to access the voice input for your phone’s Siri or Google Assistant right from the speaker. You can also use it as a speakerphone. Voice Prompts make things easier.

Bose Connect app is developed for the convenience of users that makes things easy and helps you to enjoy the music instead of doing boring settings. You can easily manage your speaker’s Bluetooth connections with one single swipe. If you are planning to arrange a party at your home but you need a louder voice then just turn it up to party mode and get ready to enjoy the louder and powerful sound.
