If you are looking for an inexpensive wireless noise-canceling headphone that performs all basic jobs COWIN E7 can be a good deal. It's comfortable to wear for a whole day, easy to use, supports NFC and Bluetooth connectivity, Delivers good sound when you play with BT mode. Powerful battery life that gives 30+ hours of playtime and talk time with 4 hours of charging. The only issue which does make it good instead of the great is its poor noise canceling feature. COWIN E7 Active Noise Cancelling is a budget headphone with all important features you may get in the expensive noise-canceling headphones but Don't expect a premium quality. Manufacturers made it available for less than $60 that needs to use average quality material but it performs all the basic jobs that any noise-canceling headphone does.
It's comfortable with having very soft protein earpads that won't give any pain to your ears. It is lightweight and the headband is soft like pillows but they haven't given a lot of padding at the top. Build quality is good. Headphones are made up of the plastic housing that is average in quality. Headphone can be spread wide which gives minimum pressure on your head.
Earcups can swivel up to 90Β°. Ear Cups are adjustable and flexible with an adjustable metal band. The USB charging port is at the bottom of the left earpiece while control buttons are at the right. It has a button that allows you to switch between Bluetooth mode and noise-canceling mode. Except for the Average material quality, everything is well with design.
How is the Sound Performance of COWIN E7?
It uses 40 mm size Large-aperture Drivers. Normally we say the large drivers are better but that's not completely true here. It gives a clear sound but not crystal clear. I guess it's a Bluetooth connectivity issue that doesn't allow crystal clear sound. Though highs are good, bass is average. Until you activate noise cancelling mode it delivers a good audio experience but once you switch it to NC mode real issue starts. The noise-canceling feature is poor that you don't expect from any noise-canceling headphones.
If you are ready to pay more money you will get some better option if you seriously want the top class noise-canceling headphone. It looks more like noise-reducing headphones than noise canceling. It eliminates airplane's engine noise but does not cancel noises like snoring, talking, music, or high-frequency sounds. In short a decent sound with the Bluetooth mode with not so powerful bass but well balanced but noise cancellation is below average.
How is the Connectivity of COWIN E7?
It has 4.0 Bluetooth technology along with NFC Bluetooth pairing. NFC means "Near field communication". It's not like Bluetooth technology which has 20,30 or 40 feet of range. Instead, they transfer the data between 2 devices that are only a few inches away from each other. To use NFC make sure your headphone is not turned off and your phone is unlocked with the Bluetooth and NFC is enabled. This way headphones connect with your device quickly and it's so easy to use.
