Digital Audio Player is the best and convenient device to fulfill your hunger for high-quality music. When I saw the HiBy R6 Pro for the first time I travelled in a time machine and went back to my childhood. At that time demand for Sony's Walkman was quite high. Walkman served music lovers and even today It is the favorite of many people.
Your Smartphone plays your favorite music. Of course, they are convenient to play the music any time anywhere but what about the quality of music? Can your Smartphone serve you high-quality lossless music? To give you the rich and uninterrupted musical treat HiBy brought an updated version of the R6 media player called HiBy R6 Pro Portable Hi-Fi Music Player.
What is a Digital Audio Player (DAP)?
DAP is an electronic consumer device that stores as well as plays high-resolution music and media files. Digital Audio Player delivers lossless and high quality audio by decompressing lossless files.
Do you know why lossless files are so important? because lossless audio files retain every single bit of original recording. This simply means you get almost original recorded audio which is recorded in the studio. HiBy R6 Pro is the same kind of digital Audio player which gives you lossless music.
Same like HiBy R6. But then what is the difference between R6 and R6 Pro?.
Though the Basic form factor and Platform are the same for HiByR6 and R6 Pro there are a few minor differences between these two. Balanced Headphone Output for R6 Pro is 4.4 mm and 2.5mm for R6. Let's dive in deeper and discuss the design of the R6 Pro.
Pros:
Cons:

Bottom Line:
There are many similarities as well as differences between R6 and R6 Pro but there are some features in R6 Pro that slightly overpowers R6. 4.4 mm balanced output, quick charging (slightly better than R6), Low output impedance that delivers more power. These are some plus points of R6 Pro.
HiBy is making their DAPs better with each new version so you might get something better than R6 Pro in the upcoming days but if you ask me about R6 Pro I must say it's a good deal if you are really looking for premium quality and Lossless music.
How is the Design and Build Quality of R6 Pro?
R6 Pro is Slightly heavier than R6. R6 Pro weighs 285g and has a size of 109.8 X 66.96 X 15.7mm. Like HiBy R6 R6 Pro is made with Corrosion resistant Stainless Steel. A high-resolution screen with 4.2" displays details of the soundtrack you are playing. R6 Pro Screen is well protected with Corning Gorilla Glass.
If you compare the weight of R6 Pro with the HiBy R5 then you can feel that R6 Pro is a little bit heavy as well as thicker. Someone may not like this extra thickness but it definitely made R6 Pro stronger and durable. Corners are curve shaped that look so elegant and Shiny.
You had a choice for HiBy R6 to choose between Stainless Steel and Aluminium but for R6 Pro you donβt have the option of aluminium. The Stainless Steel body of the R6 Pro really feels strong and rich. Just ignore that extra few grams if you can.
On the right side, you get 4 buttons. Play/Pause, Next and Previous button to change the tracks and Power Button that can unlock or lock the screen. Your muscle memory will take some time to memorize these buttons because all 3 buttons Play/Pause, Next, Previous buttons have the same size and shape. All are flat. on the bottom side, you get the USB C port.
On the upper side you get 3 ports. 4.4mm pentaconn balanced compatible port, 3.5mm headphone jack which is unbalanced and the 3rd one is coaxial port. On the left there is a volume button for lower or raise the volume and SD card port for the external storage purpose. With the Hiby 6 Pro you also get USB cable as well as coaxial adapter cable.
That's all about the physical features of HiBy 6 Pro but one thing I must mention here. Yes! this is slightly heavy and you can feel it when you try to keep it in the pocket. actually it may feel little difficult for someone who has a smaller pocket size to keep it in but Material, Build quality and design of the HiBy Pro is quite impressive and I love it.
How is the Sound Performance of R6 Pro?
If you already tried R6 you might feel that R6 Pro is exactly the opposite of the R6. Reviewing a DAP is a little bit tricky because it is difficult to separately analyze the performance of DAP and Headphone. Yet I didn't review R6 Pro with any premium headphones except Apple Airpods Max. I will update more about the sound quality of R6 Pro in near future. If you want extended Bass with a more analog texture then R6 Pro can be your mate.
R6 Pro feels more organic and natural. Though the Pro feels more powerful due to low output impedance R6 delivers better instrument separation. R6 Pro is capable of decode up to DSD256. DSD means Direct Stream Digital which is one type of high resolution digital audio format.
Not every time but sometimes I noticed Electromagnetic interference (EMI) when Bluetooth and Wifi is turned on. If you don't listen carefully you might not notice it but at low volume level with careful attention you may hear some crackling sound. While comparing R6 Pro with R6 I experienced that both have many similarities and minor but noticeable differences. According to me low output impedance is a noticeable difference and R6 Pro won the race. What do you think?
How is the Charging and Battery performance of R6 Pro?
R6 and the R6 Pro both have 4000 mAh batteries with quick charging features. R6 Pro takes almost 60 minutes to charge the device 70%. It is almost the same as the original R6. For 100% charging you need to wait for almost 2 hours. Play time depends upon the way you play the music.
With the balanced mode you get almost 7.5 Hrs of playtime while with the single mode it can be stretched up to 12 hrs. I am happy to say that this battery backup is more than my expectation and especially the quick charging feature of R6 Pro is quite impressive.
Memory of R6 Pro
R6 Pro comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM which is expandable upto 512 GB with Micro SD card. In the original R6 you get the same 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory.
