JBL hardly disappoints. Rarely you don't get what you expect from JBL. Pulse 3 also is not an exception. The most noticeable thing is it's aesthetic. It really looks pleasant to the eyes with multiple lightning colors that creates your mood. Precise and convenient control buttons. well balanced sound with good lows and highs.
Battery life is a little bit less than what they claimed but that's not JBL's fault. Sometimes we may miss the optimum settings that reduce battery life. Overall it's a great speaker with JBL connect plus option enabling you to connect Pulse 3 with up to 100 JBL speakers. No noticeable issue I faced. overall quite happy. powerful bass lovers may not get enough bass but I think it has enough bass for this size.
How is the Design and Build Quality of JBL Pulse 3 ?
JBL Pulse 3 is more than just a speaker. Almost 2/3 height of the speaker looks like a lava lamp with multiple attractive colors that really looks pleasing to the eyes. except for the 2/3 part of the height remaining part is made up of plastic. It's 8.77 inches in height with 3.62 inches width and almost 1 kg in weight (0.97 kg). JBL pulse is not just to soothe your ears but also soothes your eyes and makes your mood. Actually the main purpose of Lava lamps is to create your mood rather than illumination.
JBL Pulse 3 is a portable speaker. This is IPX7 certified and highly waterproof. Go for a beach or keep it near your swimming pool while swimming. It has a USB C for charging that is protected under the waterproof flip. JBL said it gives 12 hours of playtime. Actually it gives 10.5 to 11 hours that is quite impressive. Battery playtime greatly varies in audio and lighting settings. you can get 12 hrs battery playtime with optimum settings. The 6000 mAh Lithium-ion battery of JBL Pulse 3 takes almost 4.5 hours for full charging. I wish JBL could give some better options for fast charging in this price range.
