If you are looking a speaker just for indoor use Heritage groove is a good choice. It looks adorable, It's Compact, and Sounds great except for weak bass. It has a great quality speakerphone. These are the pros. Now, what are the cons? No water-resistant build, No smartphone app, No multi-room set-up. That indicates the speaker is made for indoor use. It's like Bookshelf portable speaker.
But the most important quality we look at while buying any audio gear is how it performs? How is the audio quality? I must say it's lovely. Smooth, crystal clear, and balanced mids, great instrument separation, clear vocals, and low distortion. These are the strengths of Heritage Groove.
Its Wooden body helped to minimize the distortion. It doesn't feel noisy. It doesn't irritate our ears. It's soft, It's enjoyable. I shouldn't forget about great speakerphone quality. That's impressive. Now let's talk about Klipsch Groove. It is loud and powerful, Bass Is strong. It has a water-resistant ipx4 body. But it doesn't have a speakerphone, It looks very dull.
So what's the conclusion? If you want an indoor speaker, with a smooth, enjoyable sound go for Heritage groove otherwise Klipsch Groove can be a good choice. Both cost below $200 so I compared them. Don't forget to check ultimate ears Boom 2. because it's costs even less than these 2 and offers many benefits and it looks good too.
How is the Design and Build Quality of Klipsch heritage groove?
I have another Klipsch speaker that I reviewed recently. I would like to show you the difference between these 2. Klipsch Groove and Klipsch Heritage both costs below $200. So I will not recommend or suggest you buy any. I will put a comparison in front of you and give my opinion at the end. The heritage groove's size is 5β H x 6β W x 2.6β D which is slightly larger than the Klipsch groove. so if you like small size marginally better option is Klipsch Groove. Heritage groove weighs more than 2 lbs whereas Groove is lighter than it. It weighs 1.7 lbs. both the speakers have control buttons on top.
While reviewing the design I always check whether the speaker is water-resistant or not. Of course, anyone will check it before buying because this point decides many things like can we take the speaker near swimming pool or is it enough capable to stand with the few raindrops. Let me tell you that Heritage groove isn't a water-resistant speaker while Klipsch groove is water-resistant with an IPX4 rating. If you want to buy an outdoor speaker Klipsch groove will be a better choice in my opinion.
It's impossible to complete a design review without talking about "how the speaker looks?". I do not doubt that Klipsch Heritage groove is an undoubted winner if you compare looks. As I already said in the review of Klipsch Groove. appearance is the weakest side of Groove. on the other hand, Appearance is the strong point of the Klipsch Heritage groove. It looks so beautiful with wood veneer. metal control buttons on top enhance the beauty and the high-quality fabric on the front grill looks mesmerizing to me. Heritage Groove truly adds beauty to your home. Heritage groove is available in 2 colors Matte black and walnut. I like Walnut.

How is the Sound Performance of Klipsch heritage groove?
Klipsch Heritage Groove has a single 3β high excursion driver with 2 passive Bass radiators and 20W amplifier output. if you check the technicals of Klipsch Groove and Heritage Groove you will come to know that both have the same type of drivers with the same size. But, I feel both have many different sounds.
Heritage Groove has balanced mids and clear vocals. I enjoyed the sound of heritage groove. Though it isn't that loud compared to Klipsch Groove it feels smoother, more enjoyable, and better. But it has 2 cons. It has weak bass. If you are a Bass-lover Klipsch Groove is a far better choice than Klipsch Heritage.
In the same way, I feel that Klipsch Groove is more powerful and louder than Heritage Groove. But, Heritage has an important advantage over Klipsch Groove. It has a great speakerphone which is so crystal clear and works great. In the Klipsch groove, you even don't have that choice. Groove has no speakerphone. At the peak volume, both distorts but heritage has less distortion compared to Groove.
though Klipsch Groove is louder and Bass is powerful I liked the sound quality of Heritage Groove more. Because, It has great instrument separation, clear vocals, and balanced mids, and most importantly it doesn't sound harsh to your ears. It feels smooth and gentle. I would give 8 out of 10 for the sound quality. If you want great quality sound with clear vocals Heritage won't disappoint you.
How is the Connectivity of Klipsch heritage groove?
You have 2 options to connect your source to Heritage groove. you can connect it with Bluetooth or with an AUX cable. I didn't try AUX cable yet. Connecting via Bluetooth is super easy. But it's quite strange and disappointing that Heritage groove doesn't have any smartphone app or multi-audio setup. It hasn't offered a multi-room setup which is another major drawback. Because, when any makers design a speaker for indoor use he must add that feature. Overall, it's ok if we talk about connectivity features and other features that are important for ease of use. 7 out of 10 for connectivity.
How is the Charging and Battery performance of Klipsch heritage groove?
Makers claim that Heritage groove has 8-hrs of battery life and that's true when I used it on 40-50% volume. but on that level, the Bass was so poor that I have to raise the volume up to 80% and it delivered 6-6.5 hrs of battery life on this volume level. No fast charging is available with Heritage groove. But it's not a big deal when you use it as a bookshelf speaker.
