Many times a question come to my mind. Are wired headphones better than wireless headphones? What sounds better, wired or wireless? We will dig into the answer in detail some other day.
But, One thing is sure wired headphones sound better than wireless. Some people may think that wired headphones are old fashion. But wired headphones have their advantages.
I didn't review many wired headphones except a few like Panasonic RPHJE120 and Sony MDR 110. Today let's review another wired headphone Philips A 1105 in-Ear Sports Wired Headphones.
Pros:
Cons:

Bottom Line:
When I saw Philips A1105, I loved the unique design, bigger drivers, and bass vent. I decided to review headphones below $50 and it was the perfect gear to do so I purchased them.
First let me tell you about likes. It has a larger driver that produces a good amount of bass. Clarity at the low end is decent. The design and build of A 1105 are good.
Rubber ear hooks won't let earphones come out of your ear canals. The wire is 1.2m long means more than enough to deal with routine tasks. Considering the Price, it's a good designed But, if I compare them with the other earphones in the same price segment, I feel many things are missing.
It's not comfortable for long listening, the treble is not clear and it distorts at higher volumes. Though larger driver has advantages everyone won't like them due to poor fit in ears, Ipx2 is a pro but I wish for a higher level of IP rating.
overall, Neither I am very disappointed or too happy with them. If you want low-priced wired earphones with a water-resistant build, microphone, and decent bass at $20, I would suggest thinking about them but don't recommend them strongly.
How is the Design and Build Quality of Philips A 1105?
: Let's start with the sound driver. Philips A 1105 has 15 mm Neodymium drivers that are bigger compared to many earbuds I reviewed recently. It has flexible, contoured ear hooks that keep the headphones in.
Though ear hooks are decent, you might face the fitting issue if you have small ear holes. I feel the same due to small ear holes. Due to bigger drivers, they block your ear canals and give decent noise isolation.
I wish it had some cushions on the drivers because it was uncomfortable after some hours. the wire is long enough to connect with your mobile in a pocket but I did notice the wire does not look so durable.
Philips A 1105 has an in-line remote that allows you to control the volume and sound tracks. It has an in-built microphone which allows you to attend the calls. The call quality was decent.
I didn't face any issues. Philips A 1105 is specially designed for workouts and running. That's why it's built with IPX2-rated material that sustain sweat and water drops.
I agree that it has a few design flaws but if you consider the price, it's not a big deal. Philips A 1105 costs just $20. So much to have at a given price. But less durable cable is a con.
Some people said it's uncomfortable to wear for a few hours but if you consider Philips A 1105 a cheaper alternative for your workout only, you will not bother that much.
It's Ok to wear for couple of hours but not more. Philips A 1105 is available in two color variants black and white. Though it doesn't look premium, looks justify the price. 7 out of 10 for the design.
How is the Sound Performance of Philips A1105?
Philips A1105 is an in-ear wired headphone designed for a workout. What kind of music do you love while working out in a Gym? Many people prefer Bass heavy music.
For those who love loudness and energetic bass for $20, Philips A 1105 won't disappoint them. though vocals and clarity aren't that good, It's doing the job great. Bass Vent helps in boosting the bass.
Though treble isn't impressive I would suggest you enjoy bass-heavy music. The bass vent has an advantage. They help in boosting the bass as well as maintain a balanced sound.
A bigger driver helps perfect sealing from outside noise so that you can hear the music better. overall, I will give 7 out of 10 for the sound performance.
