Every headphone type has its pros and cons. Wired headphones sound slightly better, they are cheaper compared to other types and don't need charging, but at the same time, tangling wire makes you irritated.
Carrying them isn't a favorite task of many. True wireless earbuds are super portable, comfortable, and easy to carry. No cluttering of wire with TWS. They are even better when they are IPX rated but at the same time, it has some cons. they need frequent charging.
You need to take care of its charging case and the sound quality is comparatively low than wired headphones. TWS can be easily lost. I saw many people who lost their true wireless gear in a crowded place.
The third type of headphone is like a golden mean between these two types. They are the wireless and same time they are wired too. I am talking about Bluetooth wireless headphones.
We reviewed a couple of Bluetooth Wireless headphones like Powerbeats3 and Jaybirdx3. Bluetooth wireless headphones have pros of wired and truly wireless headphones.
They fit well and don't lose easily. Some True wireless Headphones are IPX rated so they are also suitable for workouts and walking. Today we have another Bluetooth wireless headphone with a mic. Let's go for the Sony wi-c310 review.

Who should get Sony WI-C310?
- If you love Sony and don't want to spend more to get good sound, Sony WI-C 310 is your kind of earbud.
- They are good for watching movies and casual listening.
- It's good to use while walking but not for running.
- Good for watching Youtube videos and listening to podcasts
Bottom Line:
After using the Sony WI-C310 for a month, I noticed some points. It's a decent pair of wireless earphones with all the basic features which need in daily life.
Enjoyable bass with balanced Mids. Flexible and comfortable neckband design for long listening hours and, Most importantly impressive battery life. Ice on the Cake is it comes with fast charging that gives you 60 minutes of playtime with 10 minutes of charge.
I don't say Sony WI-C 310 has some extraordinary features. Many Bluetooth wireless pairs in the market give some extra features at the same or less price.
But you pay some extra bucks for a brand called "Sony" You pay for the quality sound which you get in all Sony audio gears. No matter if you pay $20 or $200 Sony won't disappoint you when you want decent sound quality.
It doesn't come with an IP rating which means you can't use them for workouts or jogging. they don't stay in your ears when you jump. call quality is Ok but comparing other headsets of Sony I would expect some more from WI-C 310.
Overall, if you are a Sony lover it won't disappoint you but it's not definitely a perfect wireless earphone. In the market, you may get something better at the same price.
How is the Design and Build Quality of Sony wI-c 310?
Sony WI-C 310 comes with simple packaging, which includes a USB C charging cable and two hybrid silicon ear tips of small and large sizes. Medium-sized buds are already attached to the earphone.
You may have seen earbuds that come with righting left and right on them so that you won't be confused between the right and left buds. Sony WI C310 has a dot on the left bud which you can feel when you touch them. That way you can make sure the left and right earbuds even in dark.
The Neckband of WI-C 310 is flexible, long that also feels soft when you wear them around the neck. It has the battery on the right earbud and control buttons on the left side. It has 3 control buttons.
To raise or lower the volume You have plus and minus buttons. to receive or cut the call You have a middle button which also can be used to play and pause the music. Double pressing them to activate voice assistant.
Let's talk about the comfort of the Sony WI C310. They are so lightweight that you won't feel them when you wear them. Despite of having plastic body, they came with a magnet.
When you don't wear them in the ear canal, keep them attached to the magnet, and they stay around the neckband well. Though the magnet isn't much powerful they do the job well.
You might have noticed many earbud autos pause the music when both the buds are magnetically attached to each other but, Sony WI C 310 doesn't offer such a feature. You need to pause the music when you don't wear them.
Sony WI-C 310 is comfortable but many people complained that they don't stay firm in their ears. That's true. You can't jog with them. They aren't waterproof or water-resistant either.
So don't think about them to use for workouts or running. Sony WI-C 310 comes with three color options. You can choose between White, Black, and Blue which is a cool feature.
Overall, I would rate Sony WI-C 310 7.5 out of 10 for its design and build quality. Not having an IP rating is a noticeable con.
How is the Sound Performance of Sony wi-c310?
I have mixed feelings about the sound performance of the Sony WI-C310. They have energetic bass and good treble. Someone may not like the bass who are crazy bass-lover, but it's good compared to driver size.
Many other headsets with the same price tag give bigger driver sizes, like 12 mm to 15 mm but as I said driver size isn't everything. There are many other factors that contribute the sound performance of the headset.
Mids are also decent. We found accurate sound reproduction and clear vocals. Treble is good but sometimes I found uneven in some music genres which isn't a big deal because everyone has different taste. overall, It has good sound but certainly not perfect. 7.5 out of 10 for sound preformance.
Talking about call quality, I am not very much impressed. Yes! it does the job but the person opposite to me was complaining about my sound clarity. 7 out of 10 for call quality.
How is the Connectivity of Sony wi-c310?
Sony WI-C310 comes with a 5.0 Bluetooth version that may feel a little bit outdated on paper. It's obvious when you see 5.3 Bluetooth in other devices but I didn't find much difference while using both.
Yes! it matters. 5.3 means more energy efficiency means saving a battery. More stable and stronger connection with more range. But, 30 feet is more than enough I think. I didn't find any problem in the connectivity department.
Sony WI-C 310 supports only SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. I was hoping to have AptX at this price. when you pair them for the first time press and hold the middle button for a second when the LED start glowing which means they are in pairing mode and you can search them.
It automatically turns off when not connected to your phone. That way, you can save some battery. You don't get multi- device connectivity with them which is fine at this price.
How is the Charging and Battery performance of Sony wi-c310?
The most impressive part of the Sony WI-C 310 is its charging and Battery playtime. Even premium headphones of Sony like Sony WH 1000-XM5 or XM4, have great battery performance.
In short, Sony pays special attention to this department as they do in sound performance. WI-C310 has 15 hours of battery life which is good. fast charging feature gives 60 minutes of playtime with 10 minutes of charging.
In our test, WI-C310 they delivered almost 13.5 hours of playtime, and with calling it went up to 12 hours. To charge the battery 100 percent, it takes almost three hours. Well, Done Sony!
Another good thing is that they have a voice prompt feature that tells you how much battery percentage is left. of course, you can get the battery status when you connect the Sony WI-C 310 to your phone but the voice prompt tells you without connecting them which is convenient.
