Apple Airpods set a standard. They impressed the user. But they aren't affordable for all. Its design, call quality, and audio quality are unmatched. If you have a budget of more than $100-$120, I would definitely suggest the Airpods but for those who can't spend more than $40 SoundPEATS brought the Air3 Deluxe HS.
SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS is another half In-ear true wireless earphone. Last week we reviewed Tozo A3 belongs to the half In-ear earphone category.
TOZO A3 Costs $23 whereas, SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS price $39. Should you pay $17 more for SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS? Let's review SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS and try to find the answer.

Bottom Line:
SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS is a half In-ear earbud with decent sound quality, good microphone quality, and ultimate comfort for long listening sessions. If you really care about balanced mids and treble, accurate imaging, and soundstage, Air3 Deluxe HS is a great option.
One thing is for sure. It has some limitations like poor noise isolation, average battery life, lack of quick charging, and loose fit. But at the same time, I can't ignore the qualities and features they have.
In-ear detection feature which you find in many premium earbuds but rarely find in cheaper earbuds. But Soundpeats give you that luxury just for under $40. LDAC audio codec which is surprising to have at this price.
Dedicated app which allows you to disable the control, change the EQ settings, and displays the battery status. If you count the pros and features, they overpower the cons. so, I would recommend SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS. I would rate them 8 out of 10. But the battery life isn't impressive at all.
How is the Design and Build Quality of Air3 Deluxe HS?
As I said, Air3 Deluxe HS has half In-ear design. Which means they don't have silicone ear tips. It has a stem design like AirPods. Air3 Deluxe HS fits nicely into ear canals.
They are ok for walking, but for intense workouts, like jumping or running, Air3 deluxe HS doesn't give snugly fit. A couple of times, they fall out from my ears, so I give up on using them for workouts.
SoundPEATS Air3 deluxe HS has an IPX4 rating which means they are ok for sweat and water splashes but not for heavy rain or shower. SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS is very comfortable. If you are searching for an earphone for long listening sessions and calling, Air3 Deluxe is a great alternative to AirPods.
It weighs only 4 grams. You even don't realize that you have earphones in your ear canal. I would rate 9 out of 10 for the comfort of Air3 Deluxe. Touch controls are responsive and convenient to use. The bonus is that SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS has a dedicated app that allows you to disable the one touch control. If you are accidentally touching the controls frequently, you can disable the touch with the help of an app.
Air3 Deluxe has 14.2 mm dynamic drivers, which is surprising to me. How could SoundPEATS manage such a large driver? Driver size positively affects sound quality. I love the tiny charging case of Air3 deluxe.
It has a glossy finish which may look good but attract fingerprint marks on them, while earbuds are matte black and have no glossy finish. Though I purchased Black earbuds, you have some more colour options to choose. White, Pink, purple and of course black colour are the available colour options.
The charging case has a pairing button. You can pair the buds with your phone with the help of this button. Package of SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS comes with the charging case, USB C charging cable, and user manual.
I would recommend Air3 Deluxe HS for commuting, calling and walking. Due to half In-Ear design, you can hear the ambient noise, which is necessary while you are walking on busy streets or in travel.
For workout, I suggest some In-ear earphones like JLab Go Air Sport which has ear wings or TOZO t10 which has an IPX8 rating and snugly fit for vigorous activities like running or jumping.
Overall I would rate 7.5 out of 10 for the design and build of SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe HS.
How is the Sound Performance of Air3 Deluxe HS?
Half In-ear has some pros and cons too. Poor noise isolation is a con that may bother you the most but, at the same time, it has a wide open and airy sound that means better imaging you can get with Air3 deluxe HS.
Bass depends on the type of music you hear but due to large drivers, bass is slightly boosted than some other half In-ear earphones. Those who love bright sound will like these earbuds.
Mids are balanced and vocals are clear. Soundpeats Air3 deluxe HS sounds better than what you paid. I wouldn't say they are for audiophiles but definitely sounds better than any other $40 pair of earbuds sounds. 8.5 out of 10 for the sound quality of Air3 deluxe HS.
Call quality: I am impressed with the call quality. Though it mainly depends on the environment. in the home it works perfectly. In a crowded place you may sometimes not be able to hear the voice so clearly but it's obvious because they aren't Active noise cancelling earbuds like Jabra elite active 75t. overall rating for call quality is 8.5 out of 10 for call quality.
How is the Connectivity of Air3 Deluxe HS?
You might have seen many times that features on paper don't work in real. But, in the case of Soundpeats Air3 Deluxe HS things work as mentioned. It has a 5.2 Bluetooth version and a WQ7033M chipset. It works smoothly. It supports SBC, AAC, and LDAC audio codecs which are awesome considering the price. You need to enable the LDAC on your Android device.
Pairing Air3 deluxe HS is easy. Open the charging case Lid. Press and hold the pairing button located on the case. After holding the button for a few seconds, the white light on the case flashes which means your buds are ready to pair. Turn on the Bluetooth of your Android device and done.
If you are a passionate gamer, Soundpeats Air3 deluxe is an ideal pair for you. Because it has a gaming mode that reduces the latency. Activate the gaming mode by tapping the left earbud thrice. But here is a catch. When I activated gaming mode, I observed battery couldn't go long. So, make sure your charging case and buds are fully charged if you are planning to play the game.
LDAC and gaming mode are the features you rarely get at this price but they kill the battery which is my concern.
Dedicated app
Soundpeats Air3 Deluxe HS has a dedicated app that is easy to use. It shows the battery percentage of both earbuds. It would be better to know the battery status of the charging case but the app only shows the earbud's battery status.
You can control the volume of earbuds with the app. Next to the volume, it has adapted EQ and some prebuilt EQ for different music genres. You can also customize the EQ. You can also activate the gaming mode with the app. Next to the gaming mode, you have the option to disable the single-tap control.
You can also on and Off In-ear detection feature with app. That's all about the Soundpeats air3 deluxe HS dedicated app.
How is the Charging and Battery performance of Air3 Deluxe HS?
The battery playtime of SoundPEATS Air3 Deluxe is 5 hours with a single charge. The charging case can store an additional 15 hours of charging. It means you get 20 hours of battery life with these. But, this is claimed by makers. I found them to last up to just 3.5-4 hours with 70-80% volume.
Air3 Deluxe HS is Half In-ear earphones that have poor noise isolation. So, if you want to listen to the music properly, you can't do it with the 40-50% volume. Increasing volume means less battery playtime. Battery Playtime reduces further when you use LDAC audio codec.
of course, this codec improves audio quality but you need to sacrifice the battery playtime. You don't get wireless charging with Air3 Deluxe HS. Thanks to the USB C charging port which makes fast charging possible. It takes almost 90 minutes to charge the earbuds and the same amount of time requires to fully charge the case.
On the charging case, you get the charging status with the blinking of different colours as follows.
50-100%: Green
10-49%: Yellow
10 or less: Red
Overall, I would say average battery playtime. and you also don't get the quick charging feature. I would suggest the makers of Air3 Deluxe work on this con because quick charging is a must-have feature nowadays. you can get this feature in cheaper earbuds. A $40 tws earbuds must come with quick charging. Overall, 7 out of 10 for battery playtime and charging of Air3 Deluxe HS.
