Tozo T12 Review: The Pros and Cons of These Wireless Earbuds

How is the Design and Build Quality of Tozo t12?

When I saw Tozo t12 for the first time, my mind started comparing them with Tozo t10. Tozo t12 is IPX8 rated true wireless earbud. I saw many IPX8 rated earbuds but their charging case wasn't waterproof so I had to take extra care of those charging cases.

I have to clean the buds carefully then only I could place them inside but with Tozo t12 I didn't face the same issue because its case is also IPX8 rated. which means we can submerge the case and buds under 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.

Many earbuds with the same price tag are only water resistant with no IPX-rated case but the Tozo t12 is awesome in this area. The charging case of the t12 is smaller than the tozo t10 charging case but the earbuds are bigger.

those who have small ear canals may feel uneasy with such a big form factor. For those who have small ear canals, I would suggest the tozo t10 but for commuters, I would say the tozo t12 is the best because of the super-portable charging case. I reviewed 3-4 tozo tws headphones but they all had limited color options. Tozo t12 has 6 color options which look really cool.

Choose the color between Champagne, Black, Blue, Dark Black, Dark red, and rose gold. What that means is you get all the features with a cool look. Earbuds and Charging cases both are ABS  plastic made.

The Matte finish doesn't look attractive but it doesn't attract finger marks either. The charging case has a magnet inside which keeps the buds firm in place. in the charging case, it has a display which shows how much battery is left in the case. Tozo t12 has touch-sensitive operating.

The first time I hold my left earbud incorrectly and accidentally touched the controls. That time I realized that I should hold the buds correctly to avoid accidental operating of the bud. but touch control was responsive and easy to operate. I enjoy them while operating.

overall, Tozo t12 has great build and design, they are comfortable to wear for long sessions and looks cool with multiple color options. Sometimes I feel them likeTozo t6. of course, t12 is much more advanced than t6 but looks much similar. here are a few observations about the design and build of Tozo t12 wireless earbuds.

• t12 looks similar to t6
• tozo t12 has a larger form factor than t10 but the charging case of t12 is smaller than the t10 charging case.
• Charging case of tozo t12 has battery indicator which shows how much battery is left
• Tozo t12 is touch sensitive, whereas tozo t10 has buttons to operate.
•  Person with small ear canals may find Tozo t12 a little difficult to fit in ears.

How to Operate Tozo t12?

How is the Sound Performance of Tozo t12?

While reviewing sound quality, I observed a difference between the driver size of the Tozo t12 and other true wireless earbuds. These are 10 mm audio drivers. The last few earbuds which I reviewed had 6 mm dynamic drivers, which aren't capable of giving powerful bass and loudness but the Tozo t12 has punchy bass and loud sound.

Vocals and mids are crystal clear. Tozo t12 has a wide soundstage comparing its rivals. It gives a perfect seal against external noise that is useful when you listen to music in a crowded place.

I didn't find any lagging when I was watching a video and playing a game. Though Tozo t12 doesn't have active noise canceling feature mics did the job well. the person opposite me was happy to hear my clear voice.

I observed some issues when loud background noise like the plane's engine noise. That time I couldn't hear the calling voice of the opposite person but that's pretty obvious. overall, I would rate 7.5 out of 10 for sound quality and call quality.

How is the Connectivity of Tozo t12?

Don't expect something extraordinary in this department. But one thing is plus that it came with the 5.3 Bluetooth version. As with many other TWS headphones, it can stay connected up to 33 feet.

SBC codec is the only codec it supports if you use android. it also works with iPhones. No worries if you are using iPhone, t12 works fine with it. Pairing tozo t12 with your phone is easy. when you take the buds out of the case they connect with each other within a few seconds.

Sometimes you may face issues like only one bud connects the phone or two earbuds can't connect to each other that time you need to reset Tozo t12 by deleting all the records of tozo t12 from your phone and turning off Bluetooth.

take the buds out from the case, and press and hold both earbuds for a few seconds. when one of the buds blinks blue light it means the reset is complete and your Tozo t12 is ready to pair again.

How is the Charging and Battery performance of Tozo t12?

Tozo Claimed 11 hours of battery life on a single charge and 48 hours total with the charging case. that means a single bud can last up to 5 hours on a single charge. But I found something different.

I played music at the 70 to 80% volume level and found it can only give 3.5 hours of battery life which isn't enough. With only music, it may last up to 4.5 hours But, calling consumes more battery and gives a total of 7-8 hours of battery life with both buds.

Tozo t12 has dual charging options. It comes with USB C charging cable. Which means wired charging is also possible with them. The same way, it also supports wireless charging. Once you keep the case of the charging pad, it gives a pulse vibration which means charging is on.

At the same time, a green light indicates that charging is going on. On the charging case, you can see the charging status of the left and right earbuds and the status of the charging case too.

This is another significant improvement that lets you know the charging status. It doesn't have fast charging I mean like many earbuds which give 60 to 90 minutes of playtime with a 10 to 15-minute charge, it doesn't have that feature. charging case takes 1.5 hours for full charging with cable and 2 hours without cable. Overall, charging isn't great but average.
